Annihilated Time: Poetry and Other Politics

Through this compilation of essays, Derksen is making a statement about how neoliberalism has affected the "minor arts"such as poetry, visual arts,etc. He examines what he calls the "long neoliberal movement", which is what he believes to be the increased "intimacy" between culture and economics since 9/11. Derksen encourages writers and readers alike to form an opinion unaffected by the politics of neoliberalism and to recognize the scale on which neoliberalism operates, which would include local, national, and global.
