Consumed: The Need for Collective Change: Colonialism, Climate Change, and Consumerism

The effects of overproduction are straining our planet - choking landfills, polluting natural spaces, and poisoning the most vulnerable living creatures, humans included.  The writer calls for change in an industry that overreaches with abandon -  in unsafe conditions with low pay - for the benefit of billionaires.  But they then invite us to understand why we consume the way we do and challenges us to challenge the system: the less you buy into the consumer culture, the more power you have.
