Europe in Upheaval: The Revolutions of 1848

This book covers the history of several revolutions which took place in 1848. Rather however, that focus on providing a history of all of Europe, the author of this book provides a strict history of only the revolutions themselves and the individual countries pertaining to those revolutions. Hence, this book provides a detailed account of revolutions in France, the German Confederation, the Hapsburg Empire, and the Italian peninsula but does not focus on other nations/countries. In addition to providing accounts of each revolution the author also goes on to discuss the aftermath of these revolutions and the presence and/or success of counter-revolutionary movements.
