Written in 1994, the first edition detailed a world with a limited number of jobs due to high technology. In 2010, with a crumbling economy, the "jobless future" has become the "jobless present." With a new foreword and afterward, this book is brought into the light of the present economic situation. It goes in depth to discuss the changes that must follow an economic crisis including housing land use and transportation policy.
