In this book the authors report on the levels of international economic growth focusing on looking towards the future and what continuous economic growth and industrialization will mean for future generations. Rather than focus on the most negative and unlikely solutions of stopping growth all-together, Mesarovic and Pestel claim the solution to growth problems can be found in balancing the current social situation. Mesarovic and Pestel call for richer countries to develop less and for poorer countries to develop more thereby striking a balance between nations.
