Description

A collection of readings covering selected problems of the industrial society through the world view of "conflict perspective."  From this vantage point, society is seen as a composite of different groups of people whose interests, values and behavior conflict with, rather than agree with one another as the older structural-functional view maintained.   It deals with such problems as economic crises; distribution of wealth; potential for fascism to arise within capitalistic states; militarism, war, and imperialism; race and racism; deviant behavior.
