Public Opinion in America: 1936-1970

The volumes in this series chart the pattern of social change in our central institutions and in the processes that link them. The editors have encouraged the authors to use systematic and quantitative materials as well as alternative sources, and to present these material in a provocative way, tying together statistical and documentary evidence with a theoretical viewpoint, a central theme, or a critical perspective.
