Description
Soja uses the example of the Bus Riders Union and their legal victory against the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Los Angeles as an example of spatial justice. Soja uses theory followed by example to show that urban America can be changed to help everyone, including poorer residents of the United States. He explains how we live in "unjust geographies" and that action has to be taken to make public transportation and other transit services work for the people that use and rely on it.
