www.rethinkingschools.org. Rethinking Schools is a nonprofit, independent magazine advocating the reform of elementary & secondary public schools. Our emphasis is on urban schools & issues of equity & social justice. We stress a grassroots perspective combining theory & practice & linking classroom issues to broader policy concerns. We are an activist publication & encourage teachers, parents, & students to become involved in building quality public schools for all children. Published by Milwaukee area teachers & educators with contributing writers from around the country, Rethinking Schools focuses on local & national reform.
