Description
Narrated by John Waters, this documentary shows a very unique California town's character as one that is historically tourist, misunderstood by the media, and home to a close-knit, small communtiy of interesting folks. Those who call home the man-made Salton Sea, incorrectly deemed by the mainstream as an environmental catastrophe, must deal with the threat of adjacent cities taking control of their life-sustaining water sources. Also included is a 24-minute film by Michael Glawogger, called "Ghosts from Working Man's Death," which follows male workers in Indonesia who collect orange sulfur in bamboo baskets for money.
