Description

A chronicle of the struggles that gay, lesbian, and transgendered people in rural Mississippi, an unwelcoming place to anybody deemed "different," underwent to find a safe community space.  Also included are two short films, one 19-minute film by Gretchen Hildebran, called "Out in the Heartland," which addresses gay and lesbian rights in Kentucky, and another 4-minute film by David Karlsberg and Jonathan Watts called "Clay Pride: Being Clay in America," which is a claymation short wherein Steve comes out of the "clayset" in an unaccepting environment.
