This book is an account of the human rights violations that occurred under Argentina's military regime, from 1976 to 1983. It chronicles the story of the "Dirty War,'' in which thousands of political moderates as well as extremists were kidnapped, tortured, and murdered, as well as documents the military government's systematic program of state repression and institutionalized corruption.
