Description

Grassroots organizations based in Gainesville including Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and Dream Defenders organized a vigil for Gaza Monday afternoon, May 21, 2018 to honor those who had been murdered by Israeli soldiers May 14th, 2018. Over 60 peaceful Palestinian protesters were massacred in the Gaza Strip during protests against the move of the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. Over 2,700 Palestinians have been wounded and struggle to receive care in overcrowded hospitals. The death toll continues to rise.

This informative zine was made collaboratively by student organizers to help inform vigil attendees on the history of Israel's illegal occupation of Palestine, and to bust potential myths surrounding the occupation history and the United States' supportive sanctions which embolden the oppression of the Palestinian people.
