Joyful Dissent has been a way to say "Hey Everybody, I think there is a better way than this crazy consumption and individualism thing and I think that there is lots of goodness happening and we need to hear from different perspectives so our society values the premise that all people do matter." and so we hope our process is reflective of this. We lovingly coax people to write about something they are passionate about, we make dinners for our excellent folding companions, we hand-write addresses with colored markers and we politely decline to be included on the interwebs...And we seek young people to write and draw and explore topics with us so that they will in turn make their own zines and encourage more voices to be heard.
